Ideas for Summer Nails

Summer is just around the corner and the uncertainty of whether or not, everyone will be able to go out into the world and enjoy it, is still unclear. It does not mean that you can't have fun at home, and pamper yourself. Nail art is something that many people find complicated however there are some easy nail art ideas that you could do from the comfort of your own home.

You can easily try some of these nail art designs without needing most for the necessities, that professional nail tech's use.

Dot's

You can easily spice up any nail designs by adding a splash of color on the nails. This design can be easily done by first adding a first coat of nail polish onto the nail. Once that's dry you need to grab a toothpick, and dot the toothpick onto the nails with different nail polish colors. Once the nails are fully dry add a top coat to seal in the color and have less of a chance of breaking or scratching the nail.

Stripes

All you need for this summer nail is a thin paintbrush. Apply your base coat color, wait for it to dry and then with a paintbrush, add the colors you want in a thin line. Make sure each line has a different color next to it, so it adds to the stripe/drip effect.

Watermelon

This is one of the harder ones to do, however if you have time and want to challenge yourself, you can try this one out. Apply a green base coat, once that is dry get a thin brush and apply the red coat on the top half of the nail by the nail bed. Once that is dry, get the thinnest brush you have and apply a white line between the green and red color. Once this is dry add a few black spots to make them look like seeds. Wait for it to dry and then apply a top coat

Paint Spray

This is a manicure you can do and enjoy doing. You apply a white coat to the nail. Once that is dry you can go mad and enjoy yourself, the brighter the nail colors the more it looks like summer nail art. The color nails can be splashed here, there and everywhere, the messier the better with this design.

Multi-color

Bright Nails are a common style for summer. The design itself is really simple, each nail is a different color. There are a couple of ways that you can do multi-color nails, including a rainbow, one color on each nail or basing your nails on one color and doing different shades. This depends on how many nail polish colors you have.

French Tips

French tips look easy and can be if you have a steady hand. You apply your first coat (normally white nails but it can be any color) and once that's dry, you apply a thin line along the tip of your nail with a different color. This incredibly simple design can often look incredible. A top coat is always important to add, to make sure that the nail polish doesn't chip.

Ice-cream Accent

This design screams summer, the ice-cream accent nail is a great addition for summer nail designs. You start with painting the nails in pastel colors, preferably the same color as the ice cream will be. Once you have done the nails choose one nail on each hand to paint, ideally the same nail on each side. Use a thin paintbrush to create the cone. once that is dry, use a cotton bud to create the ice-cream cones. Apply a top coat and let it dry.

Glitter

This is one of the easier ones, as long as you own nail varnish with glitter in. Paint all nails one color, then when dry either apply a glitter coat on top of all nails or apply a couple of coats onto one nail. This can be one of the easier ideas to do and could look incredibly jazzy without putting in much effort. This could also be great for a night out in the summertime.

Sunset

This design is one of the harder ones to do, you need a good makeup sponge that you don't mind ruining. Apply two different colors onto the sponge, next to each other, then dab them onto the nail. This will get your skin around your nails dirty so if you have liquid latex then apply that around the nails. Otherwise you can clean up with a cotton bud and nail polish remover. Two good ideas for colors would be yellow and orange, to create a nice sunset.

These designs can work whether you have short nails or long nails. These nail ideas may not be the most popular nail trends however they are cute summer nails that would look great for the summertime. Depending on the nail shape can depend on what the best nail design ideas are.
