Christmas is a time where you can put up your Christmas tree, you can build a snowman and you get visited by a bearded old man called Santa Claus. As much as this all sounds fun and amazing my favourite thing about Christmas is the festive nail art. I have never seen so many nail designs until Christmas came along and people were wearing their tree decorations on their nails. I have to say though trying to find a Christmas nail art idea that would top anybody else's can be hard to find, so here is a list of 20 of our favourite Christmas Nails
This red nails are basic but classy. The glitter nail with the snowflakes and the other red glitter nail is all you need this holiday season. Keep it simple and you don't have to answer awkward questions at the office.

These nails have gold glitter nails with the design looking like a present. The reindeer is beautifully drawn on (I don't know how people have such steady hand's while drawing such detailed pieces of art on a tiny canvas) and the other nails are simple. It shows that you can be extravagant while staying low-key.
Now these nails are more out there, but I'm loving them. This look too me looks like ugly christmas sweater material. The Santa Claus face on one hand and the bottom of Santa on the other hand is creative. The tartan decals on the middle finger as well as the Rudolph red and white nail art design is what Christmas is all about.
Another simplistic Christmas nail design. The acrylic nails adds volume to the nails which makes the nails look better. The glitter polish on the accent nail is the subtle but jazzy reminder of Christmas.
So far we've shown a lot of red's but let's not forget about the other colour of Christmas - Green. These are different, a lot of people would normally stick to the same red and gold nails whereas these are green and gold and the gold glitter actually matches really well. The design of the tree makes the nails look jazzy and the fact the tree isn't a normal tree most people would draw but a creative lined tree makes the nail art design as a whole look cute.
A colour some people wouldn't represent with Christmas is blue however recently blue has come into fashion around Christmas time. It started with the blue lights and now with the Blue Christmas nails. The snowflake nail art is something that has been seen done before however it looks completely different on a blue nail. The glitter nail and blue snowflake nail's change with each nail and so do the snowflake designs, just like normal snowflakes. It's a simplistic but beautiful approach to Christmas nails without being too traditional.
Now These nails blew me away when I came across them. The reindeer and the (what I believe to be) Santa have been drawn by hand. This is so artistic and it has turned out beautifully. The index fingers have snowflakes on them and they are styled slightly different with the red diamond in the middle of the snowflake. It's a beautiful design and so creative.

Now I like these so much. The Christmas decoration/reef looks amazing as well as the penguin and the indented pinky fingers. It's something I haven't seen be done before and it looks really good. I would probably say it's more for the 'millennial' because of the difference in designs, it's very much a perfect Instagram nail.
Okay so this is the second blue set of Christmas nails that I have come across and when it comes to snowflakes I think that the blue background looks best. This is a lighter blue and it still looks just as good as the other colour of blue. The glitter nail is something that I can get on board with, the glitter with the snowflakes on top look really good but definitely look good only as an accent nail.

These nails are the more traditional look. The icicles look realistic with the tiny bits of glitter added to them to give them a icy look. The bits of glitter on the nails look like the traditional christmas decorations and as we all know traditional is coming back in.

These nails are slightly different because instead of using the same red colour for the snowflakes she's decided to use a pink/purple shade that's close to the red. The glitter accent nail is always a good choice when you want to go for a simpler look because of work or other commitments but you still want that little bit of sparkle and shine.

These nails are perfect as a Christmas nail art design. The red and silver on the 4 nails with the design of snowflakes and twirls (making it look slightly like a candy cane) makes the snowman pop out because of the inverted colours.

These are another design that are more simply however the colour of the pinky nail may mean that you aren't allowed them in your workplace (it depends on the job). However these are great, the presents on the nails and the snowflakes aren't overpowering, and the single design on the nails makes the nails look neat.

Okay these nails are something I am very interested in. It looks like a white Christmas scene in any American Christmas movie. These nails again are more simple than not and even though they have a lot of glitter on them, the design itself is simplistic. It looks like a french manicure but instead of the white on the top its holographic glitter and snowflakes. It does look a bit like a snow-globe.

This Christmas nail ideas is the perfect idea for those who want to summarize Christmas within the perimeter of their nails. The candy cane design, the Christmas decorations, the mistletoe and snowflakes as well as the glitter nail and Christmas tree nail. It's Christmas in one nail and yet it doesn't look overcrowded.

So this is something that hardly anyone will choose but it's one of my favourites. The snow leopard Christmas nails. Just because it's Christmas you can still have animals on your nails, this design is very unique however you can't deny that it's not artistic. The snowflake with the gradient in the background is gorgeous and so is the pattern of the snow leopards fur.

For those who want to stay more traditional with the reindeer and candy you can with these nails. The use of all of the Christmas colours (including green) brings out the real Christmas. The reindeer is simply and looks so cute, and matches perfectly with the candy cane nail that isn't over powered with colour, only simple lines.

The glitter nails with designs on top. These set of nails set a scene of Santa on Christmas eve delivering presents and I have to say this nail art design is a gift. It looks to have been used with nail vinyls but the fact that this gorgeous nail art has been created, is what I am loving. The red glitter is also a bonus, instead of adding a simple colour, they've added a red glitter in the background which definitely adds a certain jazz to the nails.
This nail art is so beautiful. I know there's been another indented style of nail art but this one is specifically a Christmas sweater design. The snowflake cuts off at the nail which makes it looks good and the diamond in the middle of the nail adds glamour to the nail. This nail is perfect because it's not too much, it's 2 designs with the other 3 nails being plain red.

You're a mean one Mr Grinch but these nails are amazing. The details on the Grinch is incredible and it looks just like the Original TV Special. This is pure talent and the tartan on the other nails adds to the Christmas feeling. This has so much detail and like the other nail above this is definitely for a 'millennial' who loves Instagramming their nails but it could be just as good for an older lady who may want to allow her Grandchildren to have a look at them. You never know, but what I do know is these nails are so creative.
